ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS
DAY 1
After breakfast, we begin your day with an exploration of the vibrant sights and sounds of Accra. The capital city of Ghana offers an incredible insight of the country's pre-colonial history, culture, and the evolution of its people and landscape. Your first stop will be a batik-making workshop, where you’ll learn about this traditional art form and create your own fabric designs with master artisans.
Next, visit the Fantasy Coffin Makers, Osu Castle (also known as Christianborg Castle), Independence Arch, and Black Star Square. Continue to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, followed by an energetic traditional drumming and dancing session at the Accra Arts Center. Conclude your day with some shopping for local arts and crafts at the center before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, we travel to the Volta Region of Ghana, where you will be warmly welcomed by a local community and receive a traditional Ghanaian name during a special ceremony. This experience, blessed by the community elders and chiefs, will include drumming, dancing, and a heartfelt embrace from your new "family." Following the ceremony, you’ll learn about traditional pottery-making techniques specific to the area, tour the village, and support our sustainable community development initiative.
Enjoy a private, catered lunch by the riverside, savoring delicious local dishes and refreshing drinks. Afterward, enjoy a scenic drive and check-in to your riverside resort.

REBIRTH CEREMONY
Woezor to Ghana! Our Guest Experience and Tour Directors will welcome you at the airport's arrival hall. They will assist with your luggage and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink before receiving your room key. You can use the remainder of the day to relax or explore your hotel. In the evening, join us for a warm welcome dinner featuring an array of Ghanaian and continental dishes and a special surprise.
DAY 4
After a relaxing morning and a hearty breakfast, we journey towards the heart of the Asante Kingdom in Kumasi. On the way, we’ll stop at Krobo Odumase for a short workshop on traditional bead-making. Following the workshop, continue your scenic drive through the Eastern Region, arriving in the Ashanti Region, home of the illustrious Asante Kingdom, known for its rich culture and heritage.
If your visit coincides with the Akwasidae festival, celebrated every six weeks, you may have the chance to participate in this vibrant cultural event that honors the gods of the land and the ancestors.

DAY 6
Today, we will explore the capital of the Asante Kingdom, Kumasi. Visit the Prempeh Jubilee Museum, the newly refurbished Manhyia Palace Museum, which houses treasures returned to the Asante Kingdom after 150 years, and several craft villages, including Bonwire Kente Village, Ntonso Adinkra Village, and Ahwiaa Wood Carving Village. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at weaving Kente, one of the most recognizable fabrics in the world, and learn about the history and symbolism of Adinkra fabric.

JOURNEY TO THE ASANTE KINGDOM
A TALE OF THE ASANTES
Today is yours to spend at your own pace. Take this time to relax by the pool or indulge in a soothing massage. We can arrange your massage therapy session or reserve a river boat ride on your behalf. Rejuvenate yourself for the adventures ahead.
DAY 7
After breakfast, we complete our exploration of the Asante Kingdom with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Asante Traditional Buildings, a collection of 10 structures that served as fetish houses and shrines during the height of the Asante Empire. The buildings are adorned with intricate bas-reliefs featuring Adinkra symbols.
We then travel south to the Central Region, stopping at the Assin-Manso Ancestral Slave River. This historical site was the last stop where enslaved Africans bathed and rested before continuing their harrowing journey to the slave castles on the coast during the transatlantic slave trade.

DAY 9
We start our day at Kakum National Park, a thriving tropical rainforest in Ghana’s Central Region. Connect with nature on a hike after which you will brave the 7 bridges suspended above the vast forest canopy. Next, we visit the Cape Coast and Elmina castles which housed enslaved Africans under harsh conditions before their sojourn journey across the Atlantic. After lunch, we complete our day with a walk through the city of Elmina where we will learn about the Elmina township as well as the Posuban shrines known for their vibrant, colorful exteriors adorned with intricate sculptures and symbolic motifs representing historical events, deities, and the strength of the community.

More importantly, take some time to rest and re-energize yourself for tomorrow's activities at this beautiful beach side resort. Should you wish to engage in optional activities such as a traditional culinary class, batik-making working, etc. we would be delighted to organize one for you.
DAY 10
After a truly remarkable and insightful journey with us, spend your morning preparing for your return home. Your Guest Experience Director will be available to you at your request and will assist you with any of your travel needs. You can choose to catch up on some last minute shopping before your trip back home. We will contact you after your safe return to reflect on your experience in Ghana and time spent with us.

RETURN TO ACCRA

We head back to Accra after an insightful journey through culture, history and adventure. After checking in to your hotel, be delighted by a surprise experience we have curated for you!
