Day 1
Upon arrival at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Diass, a Guest Experience Director will greet and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a thoughtfully prepared welcome dinner featuring the rich and diverse flavors of Senegalese cuisine.
Following a leisurely breakfast, embark on a private exploration of Dakar, guided by your personal Tour Director and Guest Experience Director. Visit key historical and cultural landmarks that reflect the city’s colonial heritage. After a sumptuous lunch in the city, take a ferry to Gorée Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its colorful colonial architecture and profound historical significance in the transatlantic slave trade.

Day 3
After breakfast, depart for Saint-Louis, the first European settlement in West Africa. This charming colonial town invites you to discover the remnants of its storied past. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic city tour by horse-drawn carriage, a unique way to experience Saint-Louis' enchanting atmosphere. Admire the colonial architecture with its intricate balconies and yellow ochre houses that reflect the changing hues of the sun. Continue to the lively fishermen’s district of Guet Ndar, where vibrant, multicolored canoes line the shore.

Day 4
Following breakfast, journey to Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most significant bird sanctuaries, As we navigate the Senegal River on a private traditional canoe, marvel at the remarkable birdlife, particularly during the winter migration when millions of birds arrive from Europe. Upon returning to Saint-Louis, savor a traditional lunch with a local Senegalese family, featuring the iconic Chebou Djeun, Senegal’s national dish, recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage. This meal provides not just a taste of Senegal but an opportunity to connect with the local community.
After a hearty breakfast, travel to Toubacouta with a visit to a traditional Fulani village in the Ferlo region. The Fulani (Peul) people, one of the largest ethnic groups in the West African savannah, are known for their deep-rooted traditions and livestock-centered way of life. Experience their warm hospitality and gain insight into their unique culture, including the striking henna designs adorning the women’s faces—a hallmark of Fulani heritage.

Today, venture to Fathala Reserve for a memorable safari experience. This expansive nature reserve in southern Senegal is home to diverse wildlife such as Derby elks, wild boars, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and buffaloes. The reserve also offers exceptional birdwatching, with species like the red-billed hornbill, grey heron, and African eagle soaring above the savannah.

Following this exclusive visit, return to the mainland for a refined lunch at a select restaurant in Joal (not included). Continue to Saly, where you can settle into your accommodations and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure.
